William and Middleton met in 2001 at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland before becoming engaged nine years later in October 2010. They married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey and celebrated their 11th anniversary wedding in April.

Although the couple have different royal engagements on Wednesday – with Middleton at the Buckingham Palace garden party and William at a Submariner memorial unveiling – the couple recently completed a controversial Caribbean tour together.

They are both expected to attend and take part in the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations in June.
