Cookbook release date set – Sidney Daily News

SIDNEY – The annual Sidney Daily News cookbook will look different this year.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to cancel the annual kitchen for the second year in a row,” said Natalie Buzzard, Executive Director. “We looked at different options of what we could do to give our readers the annual cookbook.”

This year’s cookbook is a “best of the best” with the best recipes from the cookbook’s first year of publication from 1985 to 2002. The grand prize winners, as well as the recipes for the category runners-up are included in the cookbook.

“We know how much our readers look forward to the cookbook every year and we wanted to continue the tradition this year,” Buzzard said. “We already plan to feature winning recipes from 2003 through 2020 in the 2022 cookbook, along with new recipes from our readers.”

The cookbook will be published Friday, December 10 in the Sidney Daily News. Additional cookbooks can be ordered by calling 937-538-4819 or emailing an order to Sharon Ike at sike@aimmediamidwest.com. The cookbooks will cost $1.50 each plus shipping and handling. Payment must be attached to the order. The deadline for ordering cookbooks is Monday, December 6.
