The Ashok chakra is india the highest peacetime military decoration. It is the peacetime equivalent of the Param Vir Chakra (PVC), and is awarded for the ‘most conspicuous bravery or daring or preeminent valor or self-sacrifice‘ other than facing the enemy. The decoration can be awarded either to military personnel or to civilians.
These comics depict what our warriors must endure to bring victory, freedom, honor and dignity to the country in their fight against the enemy, both foreign and domestic, in the most hostile conditions ranging from deserts to the snowy mountains and all the way into the jungle.
