Islip councilor features town vets in upcoming post
ISLIP, NY – An Islip councilor collects the names and biographical information of city veterans for inclusion in the 2022 edition of the Islip Journal of War Veterans.
Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr., a retired U.S. Navy captain and chairman of the City of Islip Veterans Advisory Council, maintained the city’s veterans office — and as part of that work, it commemorates the veterans of Islip.
Anyone who has served at any time from the first Gulf War to the present is encouraged to send the information listed below, along with their contact information, to Counselor Cochrane’s office at 655 Main St., Islip, NY 11751.
Submissions may also be sent electronically to islipwarjournal@islipny.gov, and a submission form is available for download here.
