Major publication backs Ange’s Celtic rise
Ange Postecoglou has been named the 30th best manager in world football by FourFourTwo.
Before arriving in Glasgow last summer, Ange Postecoglou was not too familiar a name to the Celtic support but he quickly won the minds and hearts of the Hoops faithful.
The list is of course arbitrary, but it shows his position and pedigree in the game with him being ranked above Jose Mourinho, Luis Enrique and Simone Inzaghi.
Postecoglou undertook a tremendous amount of work upon his arrival in Scotland, but quickly set to work building a team that would instantly bring success to Parkhead with a league and cup double.
The Scottish champions will be hoping to build on that achievement even more this season, with the club also taking part in the Champions League group stages for the first time in five years.
Although the results were not what they could have been in the competition, clear progress is being made under the former Socceroos boss, with Celtic having a clear style of football in the competition.
The majority of the group is inexperienced at this level and will have learned a lot from this involvement with a desire to do better next season.
Celtic have made giant strides under Ange Postecoglou and are by no means the finished product with January transfer plans already well underway.
